Get Informed
It's a responsibility for everyone to be heavily informed. Often this gets confused with consuming the biggest media sources, but while those sometimes provide value they're often misleading and narrow in their coverage. My primary source of news, discussion, inspiring ideas, and enjoyment comes from podcasts. Podcasts allow for long-form communication and discussion of any topic. They're also easy to listen to when you're driving, cleaning, cooking, etc.
For listening I use Pocket Casts and bought the Full version. It's really worthwhile (as a one-time payment of $3.99 on android) and a way to contribute back to a company making a very valuable product. I listen at 1.5x normal speed and trim silence.
For reading I use Pocket on android and recommend paying for the full version. You can save articles offline and keep your history of articles forever on the app.
